Биография

Ceri James has been a regular on the London circuit for over 25 years and has an eclectic sound that blends blues/country/folk/rock. Ceri has played in various bands since the late 90's eg Zen, Atomic Central and Tuesday Heartbreak. He's been recording/releasing music since the early 00's and carefully honing his skills and songcraft year after year. He grew up in Swansea, Wales and most of his family are Welsh but he was born in London and he's been living in the Capital for 25+ years. He currently lives in SE London. "I've had the best of both worlds." In the past he's supported shared a stage with artists/bands such as Glenn Tilbrook, Art Brut, Songdog, Joe Wilkes, Steve Morrison, Rattlesnake Annie and Tom Hingley to name a few. Ceri has also recorded with Strokes producer Gordon Raphael and toured in the UK, Europe and the US. He performed at legendary venues such as The Rainbow (L.A.) Ronnie Scott's and Antony Gormley's plinth. To date he's released 8 studio albums, 3 EPs and 9 singles. His 4th studio album Songs From The Saloon on Deep River Records has received radio play on BBC Radio Wales (Celtic Heartbeat) and BBC 6 Music. 5th studio album St. Augustine's Heart was recorded with a backing band called The Three Fifths and was favourably received by music press in 2016. Glass Walkways out since 2019 produced the track Oh Your Careless Heart which has been popular on spotify. Red Mist was recorded and released during lockdown & 8th album Urban Country Life is out now
