In his decades-spanning Career, British Based Maya Miko has worked with established and up and coming Rappers as a Prolific Freelance Songwriter. A poet at heart, Maya began writing as a means of coping with loss and childhood Trauma. In his early work he was inspired by the Gangsta Hip Hop of the 1990s, creating Vivid tales of the hardships of growing up in the Poverty of a 3rd world environment, highlighting struggle and perseverance as major themes. Ghostwriting allowed him to grow with hip hop and experiment with Melodic Trap sounds and new school flows. Maya is now stepping from behind the scenes and experimenting with New age spirituality and self love music in the vein of the 1960s flower Power Musical movement, using hip hop and collaborating with Indie folk singers to create music that Explores themes of Sexuality, Manifestation and Empowerment.
