Биография
Farhad Mehrad (Tehran,1944 - Paris,2002) At the age of 17, Farhad began playing guitar and piano, and singing with an Iranian Armenian band. In 1967, he joined the Black Cats, and stayed with the band as a musician and singer until 1970. By this time, "With a Little Bit of Luck" from the musical "My Fair Lady" was Farhad's only recorded work in Persian. Over the next 9 years, 1970-1979, he recorded 13 songs in Persian. In 1993, Farhad released "Khab Dar Bidari" (Daydream) after 14 years of silence and in 1998 he released "Barf" (Snow). In September 2000, after two years of treatment in Iran and France, Farhad's illness became serious. On 31 August 2002, he died of a malignant form of hepatitis C in Paris. Farhad is buried in the Cimetière de Thiais (Division:110 Ligne:7 N de la tombe:23), just outside Paris. www.farhadmehrad.org
