Биография
The National Parcs are a hip-hop group and multimedia collective originally formed in 2001 as the live band for Montreal DJ Freeworm. The trio, which consists of Vincent Letellier (aka Freeworm) (music and lyrics), Chimwemwe Miller (music and lyrics), and Ian Cameron (director), primarily utilize nature-based samples such as wood-splitting and water dripping; a method for music making that began with Freeworm's 2000 album Vegetation = Fuel. The National Parcs were also at the helm for 2003's Solar Power (also released under the Freeworm name), but 2007's Timbervision was the first album officially released under the moniker of the National Parcs. With the three members having been born in Quebec, Malawi, and British Columbia, respectively, the group's sample-heavy sound reflects their eclectic tastes in hip-hop, folk, Afro-beat and spiritual music. The all-nature concept album Timbervision was released in 2007 as a CD/DVD. Included on the DVD are music videos for each track and short videos demonstrating how they got their samples. The group spent two years on and off recording all the material (both video and musical) in the countryside of Quebec. ~ Erik Leijon, Rovi
