Blurring the lines between HipHop and Pop-R&B, with a dash of rock, New Jersey native Jay Valeyo tackles emotive songwriting with catchy hooks and a versatile approach to creativity. The artist grew up listening to rock and metal bands and began playing guitar and piano self-taught. With dreams of leading a rock band starting in middle school, he began to write and compose lyrics and melodies akin to his favorite bands. After leaving his position as the lead singer of a post-hardcore/metal band, he took a left turn and spearheaded his emotive songwriting talents towards the realms of Pop, R&B and HipHop, being sure to keep a taste of his roots in every piece of work he writes. Now, citing a wide variety of influences in the multitude of his favorite genres and with a mission to incite change and inspiration in his audience, the artist is prepared to take the world by storm
