Bare Bear formed in San Francisco in 2011 and performed actively around the Bay Area until 2016. The band re-released The Fall as a single off of their debut album, Sign Me Up on December 31, 2018. Bare Bear's original line-up consisted of childhood friends / singer-songwriters, Ben Gaston and Trent Tyler, alongside legendary Boston-area drummer Padraic Akins. The band soon added vocalist Naomi Roochnik, began performing critically acclaimed, energetic live shows in SF & Oakland and released their debut EP, Lucky Maple Bacon Old Fashioned. In 2014, Gaston left for South Africa to pursue other creative endeavors, the band added former Dutch Royalty and current Big Ivy guitarist/songwriter, Tyler Markowitz. The band added Phil Vanderbroek (bass) and Jackie Tyler (keyboard/vocals) and performed several shows and highly regarded radio performances as a 6-person outfit before Roochnik left for New York City to pursue other projects. The band continued to perform into 2016, culminating with the release of their first full-length album, Sign Me Up.
