"Incredible space pop" Clash "Ridiculously gifted" Tom Robinson, BBC 6 Music "I'm smitten" John Kennedy, Radio X Hoopla Blue's debut album 'Pl(^)nted' is out now. Supported by PRS Foundation, the album has been self-produced in the Scottish Highlands and mastered at London's Metropolis Studios. Their community remix album 'RE:planted' - released January 2021 - features an array of Hoopla Blue's favourite fellow Brummie artists, each bringing their own vision together for this remix of the band's debut album 'Pl(^)nted' which was released during the first 2020 national lockdown - featuring remixes by Arc Vel, Man Kato, Limpid, Hate People, Matters, Percy Vear, Fridge Poetry, Flamingo Flame, Blue Ruth, simple eyyes and sunnk, alongside original and intimate artworks by Lewes Herriot, 'RE:planted' is a response to 2020 - a coming together of the band's home, Birmingham. Previous releases 'Breasts/Bread' AA-single, featuring remixes from Arc Vel & Rocky Steps, 'Itch Be Still' EP and 'Mother' EP have received press support from the likes of Clash, Q Magazine, BBC Radio 6 Music, Radio X, DIY and BBC Introducing. They have shared the stage with the likes of Mac DeMarco, The Flaming Lips, Algiers, Public Service Broadcasting, Let's Eat Grandma, Kite Base, Lowly, Mothers, Blaenavon and Dutch Uncles. Hoopla Blue collaborated with BBC Two's Springwatch to soundtrack a segment of the series' opening episode and with Matters on 'Mauveine C'.
