Lil Hazy, the eighteen year old rapper/singer/songwriter/producer was born in Boston, MA in 2004. Born Andrew J. Riebe, the Mattapan musician grew up in a musical household, playing trumpet and piano, later turning to beat making and freestyle rapping among his peers in high school. Riebe began recording as Lil Hazy in August, 2018, a moniker he and his friend and former collaborator E.D. Money came up with on the day they recorded their first song titled “ONE OF A KIND”, which they would release online. Riebe would release songs on Soundcloud sporadically until one single, titled “BAD”, would skyrocket almost overnight. He would follow up on the party record's success with singles “For a Little” and “Last Night”. In August, 2020, he would release his first mixtape, a 15 song project titled “Prodigy”. In 2023 he would follow that project up with a string of singles influenced by the underground scene, culminating in his most recent Mixtape !¡ REBiRTH ¡! Heavily Influenced by the 2016-18 SoundCloud era of rappers such as Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti, with an eclectic taste for punk rock, Lil Hazy’s genre bending sound bleeds anarchy and rebellion, fusing repetitive and catchy flows with head-thrashing melodic production and a laid back delivery. Striving to create his own sound through endless experimentation, Lil Hazy is one of Boston’s newest hit-makers.
