Shaw Cain is a Pop artist carving a lane of their own with energetic, genre-bending, dance music. Their sound feels refreshing yet nostalgic. Shaw Cain calls to their Detroit roots pairing beats-inspired techno, hip-hop, house, and pop with soulfully rich vocals. They released their debut EP “Black Popstar” in 2021 and following the release had the opportunity to perform alongside Big Freedia on her “Big Diva Energy'' tour and in Brooklyn, NY at the popular dance club NOWADAYS. The Metro Times has described Shaw Cain as having an “undeniable stage presence with upbeat and infectious songs that make you want to dance”. Shaw Cain has since moved to Berlin and is excitedly working on new music continuing to evolve their sound but with all the changes, they’ve experienced their messages have remained the same. Their hope is that by living unapologetically with boundless self-expression, young queer will feel empowered to embrace their truth, stand up for what they believe in, and take up space.
