Биография

Hakumba is a Budapest based band with mindblowing energy and the craziest members. Originally Hakumba was two separate bands, one of them called Hangouts, and the other called Cucumba. In summer of 2019 at Ördögkatlan festival (HU) they decided to join forces and play an hour long show together. After the success of this first gig they realized, it would be a huge mistake to break this magical flow, so they decided to stay together. In the first few years none of them really cared about recording anything, or creating music with any kind of concept, most of the songs from their first album was born very randomly, and while the guys were playing them for years, they always changed a little bit. Finally, in 2023 Hakumba decided to step out from their comfort zone, and they began to "work", to create some concept, to build new kinds of sounds. The first album was meant to be closing the last few years of the band. What's coming now? Probably the same crazy energetic balkan ska-funk, spiced with lots of dirty solos and endless happiness.
