The quality of her vocals makes you realize all is well in the jazz world.’ Sammy Stein, SomethingElse.comSarah is a British singer who has introduced 45 songs by the jazz lyricist, the late Fran Landesman and British composer, pianist Simon Wallace (her husband) over five critically acclaimed CDs – It’s A Nice Thought (Linn Records 2002), Something’s Gotta Give (Linn Records 2004), A Lazy Kind Of Love (Red Ram Records 2008), Songs From The Floating World (Red Ram Records 2014) and her latest record Stormy Emotions (33JAZZ285) released 19th March 2021 on hard copy CD and 3rd May 2021 on Download to rave reviews. Previously she spent 6 years as featuared vocalist for The John Wilson Orchestra before forming her quartet featuring pianist (and husband) Simon Wallace, bassist Mick Hutton and drummer Paul Robinson who have featured on all her albums. Stormy Emotions is augmented by another world class rhythm section featuring Neville Malcolm on double bass and Rod Youngs on drums. Session work includes Julian Clary’s last two UK comedy tours and the theme for his Bolds book tours. Sarah has also voiced a number of children’s book series, including Maisie Mouse, Enid Blyton and large singing and spoken projects for Chinese children.
