Secret Meadow is a band from Jakarta that has been together since 2016. Consist of Ricardo Taufano (guitar/vocal), Jaro Petang (guitar), Rayindra Joko W. (synth/keyboard), Arief R. Wijaya (bass), and Mulyana A. Viqry (drums), they released their debut EP, “Same Old Fear” in 2017 through Kubis Records (Jakarta) and Jigsaw Records (Seattle). The band mostly plays around driving rhythm section, sparkly sound of synthesizers, and sombre vocal that’s shrouded in reverb. Taking Radio Dept., The Cure, and Slowdive as their references, Secret Meadow successfully crafted their own unique sound and songwriting, distinct from their peers in the pop genre spectrum.
