Биография

Vanessa Silberman is a singer, songwriter, record producer & label owner from Brooklyn, NY (via Los Angeles, CA). Her music has drawn comparisons from everyone to the bare bones rawness of Nirvana to the pop appeal & vocal qualities of Lana Del Ray, Chvrches, Sylvan Esso, confidence of St. Vincent as well as authenticity of classic artists such as Patti Smith. In June 2021 Alternative Press Magazine named her & her label 1 of 11 LGBTQIA+ AND WOMEN-OWNED LABELS THAT ARE CHANGING THE MUSIC INDUSTRY. Prior to 2020 Vanessa was widely known through the DIY touring community for playing & booking over 800 shows (between 2015-2020) across the U.S. as well as in the UK and Europe in support of 2 EP’s & numerous singles (released through her label), a cassette & a 7”. In the studio, Silberman has engineered for everyone from Tony Visconti, Kimbra to Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys) & worked as the in-house assistant engineer at Studio 606 (the Foo Fighters Studio) and has assisted for everyone from Foo Fighters, The Kills, Joan Jett to Blue Traveler, James Williamson (of Iggy Pop & the Stooges) in Los Angeles, CA. On Friday, July 9th, Vanessa released her second single of 2021, the powerful love and hope filled ‘Love Will always Find a Way’ . In Nov. 2022, Vanessa, along with her drummer, actor/musician Ryan Carnes (who’s backup vocals can be heard on various songs) launched their new duo LOVECOLOR.
