Kitchen Congregation is the solo project of Hannah Morton (LASKA, Harlow). The name for the moniker was a light-hearted play on an observation that Hannah made about how it seems social gatherings somehow end with folks gathering around in the kitchen. Kitchen Congregation songs are meant to be relatable. The songs play around with many other observations Hannah has made about herself and the people around her - many touching on personal anxieties - with a bedroom pop sound. Kitchen Congregation's debut single, "can't find sleep" is about overthinking and having a hard time trusting yourself and your surroundings. Their debut EP, "i'm not having fun anymore' came out in Fall '21.
