Bex Morton was raised by farmers and artists deep in Wisconsin farmland. Growing up homeschooled, Morton learned classical Suzuki violin and made songs with her sisters. With a simple way of living and a dogged way of working, Morton was raised to know that free hands were given ample chores. 
 Morton eventually grew up to be the same kid they always were. Morton is now an artist and farmer based out of Los Angeles. The two lifestyles are inseparable, knowing more time in the pasture always led to more song making. Morton writes with frank, desultory conversation. Inspired by the way kids communicate, jumping in time and speaking without thinking first. This type of writing offers tough and gentle twists to the listener. Inspired by late 60’s classic folk Leonard Cohen, Patsy Cline, Stephane Grapelli, Doc Watson, and Labi Siffre, it calls on hushed acoustic guitar and sharp lyrics, merged with modern alt-indie production. 
 A Dog A Wound is a five song EP released in 2022. Morton claims that these songs tell a story that is true, but never happened. Morton’s songs will take on many scenes and perspectives, transporting listeners to an intimate place that they can all be a part of.
