Биография
Like fellow Michiganders Windy & Carl and Asha Vida, Auburn Lull create lush space-rock and ethereal, Brian Eno-inspired soundscapes. While the once-thriving Michigan space-rock scene faded by the turn of the 21st century, Auburn Lull continued to evolve their brand of technicolor sound, steadily attracting critical acclaim and an ever-growing fan base. The band formed in Lansing, Michigan in 1994 with Jason Kolb (guitars), Eli Wekenmen (guitars), Sean Heenan (guitars, vocals), and Jason Weisinger (drums). They soon became associated with other like-minded groups from Southeast Michigan, particularly Mahogany, with whom they released The Dual Group EP in 1997. Kolb began playing guitar at live shows for Mahogany, and in 1999, Mahogany's Andrew Prinz produced Auburn Lull's debut full-length, Alone I Admire. It was released by Darla Distribution, which also issued the band’s next two LPs, 2004's Cast from the Platform and 2007's Begin Civil Twilight, as well as the 2005 compilation Regions Less Parallel: Early Works & Rarities 1996-2004. Amber Lull returned from a hiatus in 2014 with the five-song cassette Hiber on Geographic North. Building on their established patient, richly textured presentation, the LP Hypha followed on Azure Vista in 2017. It saw the original lineup joined by fifth member Ron Gibbs. ~ Dale Nicholls & Marcy Donelson, Rovi
