Hey guys! We are the electronic pop duo WILDE, consisting of Olutobi 'Nyra' Akinwumi and Brandon Merenick. Here is a quick rundown of our story! Our debut studio EP, "Flashlight" (featuring The 25th Hr, ESTA, Nick Catchdubs), was released on the 18th of December 2015. Originally signed to Last Gang Records, before the release of our EP we decided to part ways with the label and release it independently on our own label Wilde Music. For our lead single off the project we had the honour to be one of the first artists to work with, now Toronto legends, Kid Studio. During this period we found ourselves performing with the likes of Soulection, Jessie Reyez and the 2015 Mercury Prize winner Benjamin Clementine. Five months after the release of our EP, while working on new music, we independently released the "Flashlight Remixes" EP in May 2016. That same year we headed to Berlin to record at the legendary Hansa Tonstudios (U2, David Bowie, Pixies, R.E.M) in collaboration with Converse Rubber Tracks. WILDE originally a trio, decided to part ways with lead singer Giselle Mapp in 2019 and we plan to move forward as a duo. This new dynamic of the band is an exciting time for us, as we can't wait to share our new music with you loyal fans who keep listening to our music and giving us fuel to do more! We will be releasing songs recorded before the split and new collaborations with other artists from different genres. Make sure to follow us as the story continues!
