Flatwounds (pronounced “wound” like an injury) is a heavy grunge band based out of Albany, NY. Members Colin O’Hare (vocals) Matt Degnan (guitar) Wade Coonrad (drums) and David Granger (bass) combine their various influences to blur the lines between “grunge” and “metal”. “The band combines pained, Layne Staley-esque croons with a hardcore edge - their songs featuring earth-shaking rhythmic breakdowns and heavy sludge leads reminiscent of Acid Bath.
