La Julia Smith is a psychedelic power trio, born February 27 2010 in Concepción, southern Chile, after one of the biggest earthquakes registered in the history (8.8 Richter). Shaken by an apocalyptic experience, the brothers Marcelo and Paulo (aka Padrastro) Diaz and their neighbor Pablo Romero (aka Nabucodonosor) had only one thing to do in a completely destroyed city: SEISMIC MUSIC! After 10 years touring on the Chilean scenes, they compose their fourth studio album They Own The World But We Own Them, an ode to modernity and decadence. A LP sculpted as a weapon to shake the homogeneity in which contemporary sounds have enslaved us, a harsh criticism to the inertia that surrounds us, a dissident manifest denouncing the dehumanization of our species. Its sound recycles the rhythms and visions of a degrading world, expresses the urgency and the sensuality of the most obscure South-American Dancefloors where austral rock meets psychedelic soul!
