Salient Sound (pronounced ‘say-lee-ent’), are a contemporary and vibrant Christian youth worship team, who love God and love to sing about Him...a lot. Affectionately known to the New Testament Church of God, England and Wales (NTCG) as their National Youth Worship Team, Salient Sound have taken the richness of their black Pentecostal, old school church roots. and brought it into a sound for the 21st century. 2018 saw the release of Salient Sound’s first EP, featuring original songs such as ‘Great’ and ‘Incredible’, which have become worship anthems within churches and homes across the world. Discerning the times they were in, Salient Sound used their voice to release their debut single ‘Stand’ as a song of faith, to speak to challenges of 2020. Within its first four weeks of being released, the song received over 8,000 plays within 50 countries and has ranked third within the Contemporary Gospel category for the UK Christian Charts in February, 2021. Following from this, Salient Sound released a second single ‘He is Alive’, as their Easter smash hit. This song immediately became global live feature, as part of the Worship Together online concert, hosted by renown American artist, Johnathan McReynolds. ‘Salient’ means, the most important thing. Hence, above all else, as a team, Salient Sound are passionate about sharing the most important ‘sound’; a message of hope, the good news... the gospel.
