NEW ALBUM RELEASE! Recorded over the last four years in five studios and two countries, A Very Unusual Head is a kaleidoscope of songs by New York’s Slambovian Circus of Dreams. Opening their creative tent to notable performer friends: fellow New Yorker Dar Williams, Anthony Thistlethwaite (The Waterboys), Kolson Pickard (producer Tall Heights, Pico Romanesque) the songs and musical escapades of the band make for a sonically beautiful, creative and adventurous album. Inspired by surrealist painters and Dylan growing up in Philadephia, A Very Unusual Head chronicles that journey honoring those who offer an intellectual/creative escape hatch to solve life’s big questions. Together since 1998, the band features trio of founding members Joziah Longo (singer, guitarist, leader of the band), Tink Lloyd (accordion, cello, winds, ukulele, theremin, keyboards) and Sharkey McEwen (guitar, mandolin). A Very Unusual Head is the Slambovian's sixth studio album and is set for release January 21, 2022 on Storm King Records. The band hits the road February 2022 in support of the new release, with a return to the UK in August at the Wickham Festival, Cropredy Festival, more TBA.
