Биография

Known for the honesty of her lyricism and otherworldly vocal tone, Sam Rui has been steadily on the rise in the South-East Asian R&B music scene since the release of her debut album "Season 2" in 2017. The sultry breakout artist from Singapore got her start posting covers and demos on Soundcloud and Youtube in her teens. She has since gone on to collaborate with and write for several artists both in Singapore and abroad, and perform on the acclaimed stages of St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival, Ultra Music Festival, Zouk Singapore, the Singapore F1 (Formula 1) Grand Prix, Splash Festival Berlin, and several others. In 2022, Rui announced that she would be taking an indefinite hiatus from music, citing her wish to further advance her professional career in the field of educational psychology. Rui is currently based in Singapore and is a practicing teacher and educational therapist.
