Jasper Publie – aka JEPP – is a 24 year old artist from Belgium, now releasing his 3rd single ‘Black’. After being in a successful band in Belgium, Jasper has been working on a lot of new material and met with different producers to develop his own sound and the musical direction he wanted to embrace. Last year he went to Switzerland to study at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste. He wanted to focus on producing besides being a musician and singer. ZHdK turned out to be the perfect place to do this because of its eclectic vibe. “Although from the outside Zürich seems like a quiet business city, I got a totally different view on it ever since I lived here. There’s a cool, creative upcoming scene that is very surprising, vibrant and inspiring.” Jasper met with Tom Oehler and Sebastian Mäder (RAY DRMA) during a session at the worldfamous Powerplay studios, where artists such as Lady Gaga, Lenny Kravitz, Snoop Dogg, Wu-Tang Clan and Prince have created some of their finest songs. Jasper, Tom and Sebi decided to combine powers and to finalize the songs Jasper had been working on. “The vibe we wanted to create is a nice urban clubby feel, as if you’d go to a club with your best friends to make memories that last a lifetime. The unique thing about music is that every song can mean something different to each and every one of us. I hope the music inspires people to share positivity, chillness and friendship."
