After securing an array of song placements in international adverts, US TV shows and most recently, the ‘Wander Darkly’ film trailer starring Sienna Miller and Diego Luna, Hunter As a Horse return with a new single “The Breaking Of The Shell”, out December 18th through Bad Future Records. The sound is distinctly their own - a surprisingly comfortable blend of folk, disco and pop with dark cinematic leanings. Hunter As a Horse’s new single “The Breaking of the Shell” could be described as a mysterious, apocalyptic soundtrack for 2020. The band prefers to leave the meaning up for interpretation. The title is derived from the beautiful Kahlil Gibran quote : “Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.” Hunter As a Horse are Paul Gala on synths and machines and Mia van Wyk on vocals and guitar.
