1985年8月31日にSHOW-YAメジャーデビュー。 「限界LOVERS」「私は嵐」などの代表曲をもち、日本武道館等での公演や自らがプロデュースを手掛ける日比谷野外音楽堂での女性だけのイベント「NAONのYAON」を開催。 1998年の解散を経て2005年に再結成を果たし、ライブハウス縛りのツアーからホールでのライブまで毎年幅広く活動。近年は毎年開催している「NAONのYAON」において、様々なアーティストとのジャンルレスなコラボレーションが話題となっている。 コロナ禍においてツアーが開催できない中でも配信ライブ等コンスタントに開催し、今年デビューから37年、メンバー平均年齢60歳という驚異的な時代に差し掛かるが、それでも新たな挑戦をし続け、“女性ロックバンド”としての未知の領域を先頭を切って突き進む。 Debuted in 1985. A Japanese female rock band with an average age of 60 that has released 12 singles and 12 albums, including their signature songs "Marginal Lovers" and "I am Arashi. The band temporarily ceased performing as SHOW-YA due to the departure of vocalist Keiko Terada, but reunited in 2005 with the original members. The band has been a pioneer of female rock bands in Japan, producing the "NAON no YAON" event featuring only female artists, which has become a hot topic every year for its unique collaborations.
