Maureen Nehedar is a singer, songwriter, poet and researcher, one of the pioneers of the world music scene in Israel, and one of the most prominent in the world in the field of Jewish music renewal, which revived the Jewish-Persian poetry and poetry tradition and redeemed it from oblivion. In 2022, Maureen was awarded an award for her work in the field of music, culture and poetry in Israel by the "My Heart in the East" association. Maureen also decorated Neve Shechter and the Rabinovich Foundation prize for original Israeli creativity in 2019 and was selected as one of the 50 most influential women in Israel.
