Биография

John Davey is a songwriter and recording artist based in Marquette, Michigan. Years of writing and touring have framed the production of three studio albums including Living Is Trying and 2020’s Toss Your Javelin which was produced by Shane Leonard (Anna Tivel, J.E. Sunde, Humbird, Mipso) and mastered by TW Walsh (Pedro the Lion, Sufjan Stevens, Damien Jurado). Davey won positive regard from GemsOnVHS, UPROXX, Speakers in Code, and Musical Family Tree on the basis of his recordings and live performances. He has shared the stage with Erin Rae, Tom Brosseau, Charlie Parr, Matthew Fowler, Liz Cooper, Molly Parden and many more. In 2015 Davey relocated from his dual bases of West Lafayette, Indiana and Nashville, Tennessee to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where he founded Late Bloomer Entertainment which houses various artists’ recordings of his songs. In Marquette he tends to his family and his expanding catalog of compositions.
