Olamilekan Massoud Al-Khalifah Agbeleshebioba popularly known as “Laycon” is a Nigerian rapper, singer, songwriter. Heralded for his perfect integration of rap, afrobeats, and pop, Laycon is a versatile lyricist whose flair, and artistry is vivid through the depth, and witty delivery in his music. With anthems like “Fierce”, “Hip Hop”, “Verified”, and “Fall For Me”, Laycon has released chart topping mainstream hits and he has put out 4 EPs, 1 Album, and a soundtrack album from his reality show titled “I AM LAYCON”. In 2021, he performed “All Over Me” from his Album for the Recording Academy Press Play at home series and he held his first virtual concert which recorded a high number of live streamers. He also headlined multiple sold out campus shows across Universities in Nigeria. In December 2021, Laycon sold out the 6,000 capacity Eko Convention Center in Lagos for his first iCONsFEST concert. Having worked with exceptional talents such as Joeboy, Mayorkun, Made Anikulapo-Kuti, Teni amongst others, Laycon can be tagged as one of the exciting young African acts pushing African music and heritage to the world. Laycon, who is also a member of the Recording Academy has also worked as an Influencer/brand ambassador with brands like OPPO Nigeria, Mentos Nigeria, Orijin, Jumia etc. Regarded as the “Afrorap” pioneer, Laycon is well equipped for a bigger stage and a push for global recognition.
