Toribio’s got something for your soul—and dat ass. The charming DJ, producer, and multi-instrumental music maker affectionately known as “Papi” in the scene brings people together for his BDA parties where the motto is "Bring Dat Ass, and your feet will follow.” A force of nightlife, Toribio has shared the decks with the likes of Danny Krivit, DJ Seinfeld, Francois K, Eli Escobar, Dez Andrés, and Ash Lauryn to name a few. Toribio’s spirit shines bright behind the decks, but he also displays his musical prowess as leader of his rotating collective of musicians, Conclave, whose brilliant self-titled LP released on Love Injection Records to critical acclaim. Conclave is a reminder of the powerful omnipresence of Afro and Latino sounds and instruments, which layers effortlessly with Toribio’s easy, sweeping tenor, and courses to an electrically charged conclusion. Tracks from Conclave have been remixed by renown producers such as Louie Vega, Photay, and musclecars Toribio regularly plays in various clubs across New York, including Nowadays, Elsewhere, Good Room, Knockdown Center, Bossa Nova Civic Club, and Le Bain and holds down a monthly show at the Lot Radio.
