Formed in 2009 by Brothers Nick and Lucas Harasz with Jared Caprio originally under the name "Megalith." Frostfang is a St. Petersburg Florida heavy metal band that attempts to follow in the footsteps of their influences while hopefully forging a new path. Frostfang started out as a fast thrashy ode to the 80s metal giants. But with the addition of Evan Fox, quickly evolved into experimenting with longer flowing and jamming epics more inspired by psychedelic rock, stoner rock/metal, and post rock/metal. We don't really know what "subgenre" of metal we fit under, and like the freedom to create what feels good without a verbal mandate of what style we should pursue. In 2014 they released their first full length "Frostfang". Their style fused elements of classic 80's Heavy / Thrash metal with the detuned grooves of modern stoner metal. In 2016 the quartet released "Garage EP" a collection of songs written and recorded in the garage where they practice. 2023 sees the release of Recognition a long awaited album that was originally set for 2020 but postponed due to the global pandemic.
