Биография

Fabio Caramuru is a Brazilian pianist, composer, and producer known for his versatility and diversity of artistic performances. With a classical background, he received a scholarship from the French government to specialize with the pianist Magda Tagliaferro (1893-1986). Caramuru regularly performs as a soloist and with orchestras in major concert halls throughout Brazil, North America, Europe and Japan. In addition to his career as a soloist, Caramuru is recognized for his involvement in music and cultural projects as a creator and director. In recent years, he has devoted himself especially to the work of Tom Jobim and to his own project, EcoMúsica, which he has been developing since 2013. The pianist made his debut as a soloist with OSESP in 1977, playing Stravinsky's Concert for Piano and Wind Instruments, for the first time in Brazil. He has won several awards in Brazil, including a prize from the São Paulo Association of Art Critics, in 1991. Since 2007, he has held many events dedicated to Tom Jobim's work, having been a soloist with the Symphony Orchestra of the University of São Paulo - OSUSP, at Sala São Paulo, and with the Symphonic Band of the State of São Paulo, at Theatro São Pedro in São Paulo, as well as hosting various festivals throughout the country. With his unique musical abilities, Caramuru has been delighting the audiences with his solo performances and with orchestras around the world.
