Биография
This Is Colour were formed in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk by Tom Cronin, Nick Cheshire, Luke Truman, Keir Atkinson and Elliot Bowes in the summer of 2005 while all members were studying at West Suffolk College. After a short run of shows around the South and East of England - Bowes left the band and was replaced by Dean Ceconi. This lineup remained until late 2006, when Truman was replaced by Jonathan McGinn on Bass Guitar - the band then wrote and recorded their first official release, the EP 'A Brief Demonstration' - which gained the band label attention and consequently landed them a deal with Thirty Days of Night Records, who had put out releases by Bring Me The Horizon, Gallows, Architects, Dead Swans and Your Demise. The EP received positive reaction from the press, praising the band's DIY garage sound and drew comparisons to bands such as The Dillinger Escape Plan, Mastodon and Between The Buried And Me for their progressive song writing prowess and virtuosic lead guitar work. The band entered the studio in June 2008 to record their debut full length LP 'No Brainer' which was released in 2009. The album was received resounding positive reactions from their fan base, despite critical reaction being mediocre. The band toured the album extensively throughout the UK and Europe before beginning writing sessions for their next release. In April 2018, the band announced their comeback with a short run of shows across the UK.
