Aqualine are a new collective from the city of Guildford creating explosive yet melancholy alternative rock. Taking broad inspiration from shoegaze, grunge, hip-hop and experimental ambience, they strive to perfect a unique blend of their favourite genres. The two Songwriters Benski (Vocalist) and Patric (Lead Guitar) founded the project and remain the driving force for the Band. Live they are accompanied by a powerful 3-part rhythm section. Will (rhythm guitar) plays a crucial part in the sound, he is heavily involved in the inner workings of the Band. With honest lyrics about the modern day, they offer a youthful perspective on the mental and physical world we inhabit. Their debut single ‘Looking Dead’ came out in September last year, making a bold entrance in the music scene when It featured on Steve Lamacq’s Radio 6 show. After spending time in Vienna recording the next set of Singles and debut EP, Aqualine are on track to releasing monthly and touring the new songs. Known for energetic and passionate live shows they have played heavily across London, making appearances at Venues such as Dingwall’s and filling out local venue’s like the Boileroom. The process is very DIY, with the collective unsigned they work hard behind the scenes on all aspects of the band, Making the album covers themselves they use unique methods of mixing digital/Material Art and Music as one. Sitting on a large collection of unreleased music they burn towards an exciting future. Stay tuned.
