The Us is an alternative hip-hop duo. Marley BloO & Daddy Longstem established The Us in 2018. Debuting on South African national television, The Us has put together a solid body of content in a short period The Us released their debut album titled ‘Welcome To The Us’ December 2018, alongside the launch of their website where the album was made available for free to fans and subscribers. The success of the album lead to 2 music video playing on MTV Base & Trace Africa respectively. December 2018 saw The Us embark on the “Welcome 2 The Us Tour”, the duo’s first national tour (sponsored by Concerts SA), featuring 11 shows across the country’s major cities (Durban, Cape Town & Johannesburg) with a few stops such as Plettenburg Bay along the way. Following the tour The Us geared up for the release of their second project titled Made In Africa, previewing new songs on stages such as the 420 D-Day Festival & live on the Trace Africa stage at Fête De La Musique. Made In Africa was released on all digital platforms in July of 2019. The project has features from fellow South African artists such as Tony Dangler, Black Ace & Mzukhona SA. With 2 albums, 2 remix projects and a couple singles released to date, The Us has garnered a substantial number of of online streams, views, a self promoted tour and multiple television appearances & performances in a brief 2 year period.
