Distance Sprinter is the musical offerings of Cincinnati, Ohio's Joel Borton. With a history in bands ranging from Post-Hardcore to Surf Pop, Distance Sprinter is where Borton has found his home in songwriting. Deeply personal stories form the foundation in which Borton's songs are built. Lyrical themes of loss, guilt, shame, and frustration are contrasted with instrumentation that compels the listener to move. Inspired by the likes of The War On Drugs, David Ramirez, and The Killers, Distance Sprinter combines aspects of the heartland rock n’ roll that he grew up listening to with dancing synthesizers.
