Known as an instrumental duo, the group from the mountains of southern Brazil adds voices to the work based on rich Latin American sound and takes as a base the musical traditions of the South of the country. Formed by drummer and music producer Luciano Balen and trumpeter also producer Beto Scopel, CCOMA gives multiple brushstrokes to the song "Aprendendo a Jogar", a pearl eternalized in the voice of Elis Regina and written by Guilherme Arantes. The new version was immersed in various references, from funk to afrobeat, in addition to electronic. With three instrumental albums released, including one (Peregrino) winner of the 24th Brazilian Music Award, in 2013, in the Electronic Album category, the pair invited singer Etiene Nadine to give voice to the single, and Rafael de Boni to take the bass. It is a preview of the polyvalent sonority that will be in Temperate Subtropical. For the new work, the project looked for music tones from the late 1970s and early 1980s, extolling the sounds of bass, drums and keyboard. Among the references are Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre, Azymuth and Donna Summer.
