If your heart has ever been shattered then you’ve earned your right of passage to make art. I’ve felt scattered most of my life but music has always given me a sense of direction and purpose. I feel most alive in my songs. So I just keep writing and recording them as a significant act of survival. I don’t feel I have much of a choice. It is a very real and authentic output.
