Биография
From the concrete wallows of cigarettes and worldly disenchantment, Azrul Zainal (guitar, vocals) and Omar Aiman (drums) laid the foundations of Jaggfuzzbeats back in 2014 in Shah Alam, Malaysia. The indie-rock duo's journey began on SoundCloud, with the release of their debut tracks 'Hours' which poignantly put, was "roughly produced in Azrul's bedroom". Successfully capturing the hearts (and ears) of many, this then paved the way for a slew of singles and eventually the duo's debut 8-song album 'Rest Now' — which according to JUICE Online "has all the hallmarks of the band; Azrul's country drawl and twang, infectious guitar licks, foot-tapping drum patterns, and vague-albeit-heart firmly on the sleeves lyrics." Nabil from The Level describes the duo as "pure, unadulterated indie rock that's simple and easy to get into." The first inklings of the 'Subtle Shift' EP appeared in 2019 ('In Time' and 'Fade') and continued through 2020 ('Not My Fault' and 'Sweet Darling'). A project that's been a long time coming and a labour of love, the 6-song EP is described as "a pat on the back, a slap in the face and a warm embrace." "This EP is an insight into us hitting that quarter-life crisis benchmark and really going through it," says Omar, of the EP's essence and the duo's journey. Speaking on the projects' significance, Azrul adds: "We're more hands-on this time around and the direction of the sounds is definitely where we see ourselves at the moment."
