In 1995 Helmut Nowak, an Austrian top drummer and author of many Wolfgang Ambros-Songs, was commissioned by the music publisher Hans Derer to drum up a Version of the Song "Lemon Tree" - at that time not yet a world hit, but already on the way to becoming one. A name was quickly found: "Garden of Paradise." In 2000, 5 years later, the song "Suzy" was added, also originating from the band Fools Garden. In 2010, while going through his large music archive, Derer came across a minidisc with the two songs, listened through them, was thrilled by their high-end quality and decided to release them on his label 7music - succesfully. In 2020, meanwhile, Helmut Nowak, now happily living on the Greek peninsula of South Pelion, also experienced goosebump moments when he once again heard those 11 pop songs he had composed and recorded with musicians Tony Georgiou (vocals, guitar) and his now-deceased wife Liv Elliott (keyboards) between 2012 and 2014. And during a conversation between Helmut's wife Petra and Hans Derer in deepest Corona Lockdown times, the thought came: "Let's release these songs." Tony immediately agreed. "It would be in the spirit of Liv." But under what name? - Helmut Nowak had the idea: why not "Garden of Paradise". Derer agreed: "A wonderful name for wonderful pop music."
