Artist, drummer, singer, and songwriter Aaron Blanton can't remember a time when music wasn't his number one passion. But it wasn't until his family moved to Nashville, TN, "Music City," in 1991 that Aaron would turn his love of music into a career. By 1997 Aaron became one of the founding members of SONICFLOOd, while he was still in high school. The next three years were a blur, as he toured the world, sold nearly 1 million albums, won a Dove award, and garnered a Grammy nomination—all before age 21. In early 2001, Blanton left SONICFLOOD to join CCM newcomers By the Tree. They would win two Dove Awards, play hundreds of shows every year, and reach #1 on the charts with the song "Beautiful One," written by Tim Hughes. After two different bands, seven albums, endlessly touring countless cities, and racking up hundreds of thousands of miles, Aaron knew it was time to settle down and be at home with his family. In September 2007, Aaron came off the road, became a worship pastor, and focused on his music for the first time, recording the EP, We are the Hands, in 2010. Continuing a steady outpouring of music for his church, missions organizations, and other artists, Aaron built a roster of songs from his life and experiences as an artist, husband, father, and Christian. Back in Nashville, since 2014, Aaron has continued to play drums, write songs, lead worship, and record new music.
