Биография
Hannah + Gabi (pronounced as Hannah and Gabi) was started in 2010 by Mikey Amistoso, frontman of Filipino indie rock band, Ciudad. It served as an outlet for his quieter, more mellow, and more personal songs. Initially intended to be a studio-only act, Hannah + Gabi started appearing in live shows after the first album, "Haha Yes" (released in November 2010), garnered several positive reviews and invitations to perform started to increase. Songs from this first album were featured on Tales From the Friend Zone X, a web series created by director, R.A. Rivera. The series gained a massive following and is still available on Youtube. The film, What Isn't There (Ang Nawawala), directed by Marie Jamora, also prominently featured songs from "Haha Yes," and the second album, "Years Gone." The soundtrack was released digitally, and as a limited edition vinyl. In 2016, the animated film, Saving Sally, directed by Avid Liongoren became one of the entries at the Metro Manila Film Festival. It featured Hannah + Gabi songs, including "Everything Refuses to Move" as its theme song. Hannah + Gabi is making a comeback this 2021 by releasing two songs which Mikey refers to as "siblings." The first track is called "Winter," while its sister track, to be released a couple of weeks later, is called "Thoughts They Disappear."
