Hydir Idris is a singer/songwriter who writes inspirational and love songs. At 13, he was the lead singer for Dikir Barat, a traditional Malay cultural performance group. He was among the Top 5 finalists on Anugerah 2009 by Suria Channel and Top 40 on The Final 1 SG in 2013 by Channel 5, Mediacorp. His hit single 'Marah Aku' was nominated for 'Most Popular Song' on Anugerah Planet Muzik 2015, and was 2nd most aired song on RIA 89.7FM & Mediacorp Suria TV Channel. He pursued his passion despite the odds of attaining success as one of the minority races in a multi-racial country and has worked with prominent producers and composers such as Kuncidemak, The Sallys, GROSSE, Imran Ajmain, Hafiz Hamidun and Ad Samad. In 2016, at the age of 24, Hydir Idris graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts majoring in Pop Vocal Performance, releasing music independently between 2009 to 2019 before signing to Hikayat Records. He released his first duet ‘Cinta Dalam Diam’ with Andrea Iman in 2020. During his time in college between 2010 to 2013 and 2015 to 2016, he was mentored and lectured by Babes Conde and Emmy nominated composer, producer-engineer Dr Joseph Curiale on Principal study (Pop Vocal), PopBand performance ensemble classes and Music Production & Music Business modules. As part of his music production project, Hydir's unreleased song 'Keliru' was selected by Dr Joseph Curiale to be part of LASALLE CD, self-mixed, mastered by Oceans Butterfly in 2016.
