Formada inicialmente como um projeto de Gustavo Riviera, fundador do Forgotten Boys - grupo que atua há vinte anos na cena independente, a Riviera Gaz teve início em 2013. Com algumas músicas já compostas, em 2015 Gustavo se juntou ao músico Paulo Kishimoto (Forgotten Boys e Pitty) e ao americano Steve Shelley, conhecido por ter sido baterista do Sonic Youth, um dos mais importantes grupos de rock alternativo do mundo. No ano seguinte, a banda que traz influências de rock 70’s, glam rock e psychedelic folk, gravou o primeiro EP de quatro músicas intitulado “Pere Ubu” e fez shows pelo Brasil, Argentina e Uruguai. Agora o Riviera Gaz se prepara para lançar o álbum de estreia “Connection” pela HBB em CD, LP e K7 Originally formed as a project by Gustavo Riviera, founder of the Forgotten Boys - a group that has been active for 20 years in the independent scene in Sao Paulo, the Riviera Gaz began in 2013. The following year, the band that brings influences of rock 70's, glam rock and psychedelic folk, recorded the first EP of four songs titled "Pere Ubu" and made tours by Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. Riviera Gaz is now preparing to release the debut album "Connection" by the São Paulo label HBB on CD, LP, K7 and on the main digital platforms.
