Groove, rock, Brazilian music, psychedelic, dub, ethnic brasilian music (candomblé , maracatu, samba), experimental instruments and avant-garde stuff is Radiola´s music influences. They are respected artists from Brazilian musical scenery. They came from Salvador/Bahia, a state in the northeastern area of Brazil, that is very important to Brazilian art . Some important names like João Gilberto, Caetano Veloso, Jorge Amado also came from there. Nowadays, Bahia has a very rich popular culture and an expressive alternative music and rock scene in a contrast with a big popular party, the Carnival, that had involved the interests of the local tourism and culture over the last 20 years. Radiola is outside limits, just making music by independent and creative ways. Their concert is expressive and dynamic, exploring not only of international styles but of Brazilian folkloric styles with urban and actual approach, inspired by unrest of Tropicalia Movement and Cinema Novo, important Brazilian art movements from the 60/70’s. With 16 years old completed in 2017 the band passed trought a lot's of musical changes in it's way. The bigger one came with the partnership with the acclaimed singer Nancy Viégas in 2009 afther touring together in Spain to release the "Gelo Liso é Paraíso pra Quem Sabe Dançar" (Smooth Ice is Paradise for Those Who Know to Dance) album. Now, Radiola is working in it's 4th album and a lot's of new things are coming soon. Can't stop anymore...
