Биография
Punk band The Freeze formed on Cape Cod in late 1978. While usually included with the Boston hardcore scene, The Freeze maintained a connection to their Punk Rock roots. Nowhere was this more apparent than in the title of their debut single, "I Hate Tourists," released in 1980. They then signed to Modern Method Records, which featured the band on three compilations: Wicked Good Time, Vol. 2, This Is Boston, Not L.A., and Unsafe at Any Speed. Their debut lp, Land of the Lost, hit in 1984, followed up 2 years later w Rabid Reaction. After a 4 year hiatus, the band returned w a Double A sided single Bloodlights/Talking Bombs and a new album Misery Loves Company. They toured Europe to promote it, signing with Germany's Lost & Found label, releasing 3 more albums: Five Way Fury, Crawling Blind and Freak Show. In 1995 the band signed with Dr Strange who released their back catalog and a 10" split with The Bollweevils. In 1999, the band got together with legendary Artist/Illustrator Edward Gorey, who created the cover art for their 1999 lp One False Move. Then silence... In 2010, Hanger relocated to Phoenix. The new lineup includes his longtime collaborator, guitarist Bill Close. In 2018, they signed with Slope Records. Together they wrote the 12 new songs on the album Calling All Creatures. They parted ways with Slope shortly after. The Freeze have new songs ready to record. "Calling All Labels!'
