Биография
Having worked extensively as a multi-instrumentalist with established acts such as Foals, TEED and Songhoy Blues, yet only recently debuting his own songwriting skill; Hudson Scott developed his musical craftsmanship alongside a salt of the earth day job as a carpenter. His dirty-knees builder front camouflages his mastery of music and jazz theory and leaves the listener unprepared for his unashamedly poppy attitude. Perhaps it is these supposedly conflicting aspects that make his music so multifaceted and moving. Having spent his youth in Oxford with bands Youthmovies and Jonquil, Scott moved to London in 2013 and released solo works Clay, Get Down and Panning for Gold (2016) which received praise from outlets such as NME (“a true summer stunner”), Noisey (“a one-man, Tame Impala-esque, tour de force”) and support from Radio 1’s Annie Mac and Huw Stephens. Sharing stages with the likes of Foals, The Invisible and Boxed In the following year, Hudson started 2018 lending his unique phrasing and unmistakable vocal timbre to George FitzGerald’s single “Nobody But You”. The collaboration is a welcome entry to a new series of works to be released on London label squareglass, produced with Oli Bayston (Boxed In) and Duncan Tootill (Little Cub). First single “Triangle”, a groove-laden power ballad, was released in April 2018 and continued Scott’s streak of critical acclaim with Clash Magazine labelling him “perhaps the most acclaimed musician you have yet to be introduced to.”<br>
