In essence, formed at a Soft Kill concert, it makes perfect sense the four friends would pick a song title by that group to give a name to their music to come: Feel of the Knife. While Soft Kill were the main impetus for forming Feel of the Knife, the members draw from a manifold of musical and poetic inspiration within and beyond the post-punk cosmos, ranging from Bruce Springsteen to Alvvays, to create their own sonic and lyrical scenery. After playing their first show with post-shoegaze giants Nothing in their hometown of Karlsruhe, Germany in July 2022, the year saw another highlight for Feel of the Knife, playing their first international gig at the acclaimed Schall & Wahn Studios in Feldkirchen, Austria. Feel of the Knife started the year 2023 at exactly that same location, recording four new songs set to be released over the course of the second half of the year. The first single off of the group’s latest collection of songs, „Nosebleeds“, which was released on the 16th of June, gives a first impression of the band’s newest creative work. In support of their musical releases, Feel of the Knife will play selected shows during the summer months and embark on an extended tour of Germany and Austria in the fall.
