Sounds Like Chicken was a band from Melbourne, Australia that began in 1999 and ended in 2007. Hailed as one of the most notable ska acts to come out of Australia, they toured incessantly and released multiple recordings, including the rave-reviewed album “Like A Cannonball To The Ocean Floor” (2004, Boomtown Records). Probably most well known for their high energy live show, the band’s sound was a unique blend of ska, reggae and at times hardcore. The band shared the stage with Reel Big Fish, Mad Caddies, Crowned King, Killing Heidi, Hilltop Hoods, Area-7, Kisschasy, Gyroscope, Bodyjar, 28 Days and more. Sounds Like Chicken called it a day in March 2007. They did one final Australian tour and played their last show to a sold-out audience in their hometown of Melbourne.
