Oceans Of Mercury is a collaboration between Pittsburgh natives Tim Nelson and Dom Bartoli. We have been on the Pittsburgh scene for many years in many forms. Get ready for some new releases forthcoming beginning July 7th with our newest single Foolish Zeal and from there on into infinity. We have been working hard writing and recording fresh new tunes and plan to release them at a rate of one every 2-3 months. The new sound is more refined and tastier with a whole lot of heart and soul. We do not subscribe to a specific genre, but if you must, we feel like our sound if produced in a kitchen would go something like this. Imagine if you would a blender concocting the tastiest of cocktails with a base of 60s Dylan, Beck, Cake, Strummer, add a splash of Reed, a dash of Petty, a thimble full of Vampire Weekend gently stirred with a Reznor swizzle then finished with a hint of Fleetwood Mac. We just love to create, and those are some of our biggest influencers. Dom is a master sound manipulator/producer jack of all trades for all things musical while Tim is an inspired lyricist, idea man, and catchy riff creator.
