Andy Thompson and Ben Grant began writing songs together in the fall of 2003. Not long after that they met Mike Felker and asked him to play drums, and Ben’s brother, Danny Grant to play bass. They released several EPs from 2005-2007 They signed to Doghouse Records in early 2008 and released their first full length record, “So This Is Progress”. After touring for 2 years on this record, they release an EP, “Lets Be Honest” After a more than decade hiatus, The Status will release their sophomore album, “Everything Ends and Begins with Meaning” In the fall of 2020.
